UMT-ME codes are an integral part of the DOHMS new E-Statistics Application for Private Sector. If you are using the online DOHMS application, you do not need to license the codes. If you want to put the codes in your own software and transfer the data directly, you need to procure a UMT-ME license.
What is UMT?
UMT or Unified Medical Terminology is Medical Coding System that includes for all medical interventions (invasive or non-invasive), diagnostics and drugs. It has codes for OPD and Inpatient procedures and also for alternate medicine.
UMT-ME Coding Structure
Each code is 4digits, a dot, single alphabet and another four digits, e.g. 5020.P1017.
The four digits before the dot are called Predicate and the APlha-numeric code after the dot is the Subject.
